Default bad shocks(konis)

I have koni yellows, had them on the car about 4 yrs with 5kish miles.

the upper shock mounts pulled thru the rubber so it was on riding on the springs for a bit. replaced the mounts reassembled was fine, now the shocks have no rebound, they stay fully compressed like the weight of the car is on them there no leaks no damage to the shock externally. any ideas

If they pulled through the mounts you didn't have the isolator put back in place, and if you didn't put that on the new mounts they'll just pull through again eventually.

What happens if you pull on the shaft of the shock, does it pull back out OK?

yes the 1st time I didn't use the isolater, the guy at Orielly's when bought them told they were a new design and didn't need them, I didn't question it put it all together. The new mounts have them back in there,

If you pull the shaft out, it goes right back all the way in.
