Spohn Mount Bushing Stand?
Hey guys,
My Ls1 spun a rod and I'm in the process of swapping a lq9 into it right now am I trying to save weight wherever I can while still keeping the car more streetable. One thing I was thinking of is swapping out the heavy cast-iron motor mount bushing stands with the Spohn ones which would save about 5lbs.
This is going to be an addition with replacing the bushings out as well. Besides saving weight, is this worth it and does anyone have any experience with them? Should I just save $100 bucks and spend it elsewhere?
These are the mounts in question:http://www.texas-speed.com/p-2242-sp...ands-pair.aspx

IMO, put that money towards a UMI Road Race K-member it has the stands built into it.
You'll also save about 22lbs ,but you'll still have a K-member plenty strong for DD.
