2001 Suburban - ABS Question
I've got a 2001 Chevy Suburban 1500 4WD with roughly 235K miles on it. I replaced both front wheel ABS sensors about a year ago. I have a problem where both the ABS and brake light illuminate randomly. Since I've replaced the front sensors, I thought that I would check for rear wheel brake sensors. But I can't find any.
Does the '01 Suburban only have ABS on the front brakes?
Thanks.

I have an '01 with 176k that does the same thing. Had it in the shop for MD state inspection, they "fixed" it for inspection purposes. It's a bad ground in the abs system. Sometimes I see it 30 seconds after starting it, sometimes not for a few weeks.
There's no specific abs block ground, but there are 3 ground wires it could be. I've halfway looked into it on the various suburban forums. One of those grounds is on the frame rail up front, maybe drivers side, I think one is direct engine block ground and wild guess for the third could be inner fender well.
If it doesn't bother you or it's not failing inspection, it's not hurting anything really.
