Default What is this part ?
Took this out of a Camaro I took apart. It was bolted to the rear seat belt buckle assemblies. What is this thing ? Like a rear shock brace ?

Harness bar. Personally I don't think they are safe without a full cage.

For a low speed autocross they are OK, for open tracking, HPDE, track days, and higher speed autocrossing, I TOTALLY agree with you.
