Default Drawbacks to SFCs?

They seem like a really good mod, how come they didn't come equiped from the factory? What's the advantage of having two seperate subframes?

^ That's all I can think of also. GM could have made a whole bunch of "upgraded" parts for our cars, but that would have driven their MSRP's up a bunch too. So they make "cheap" parts to keep the factory costs down, and if the consumer wants beefier parts, then they can make the choice to spend more for the parts.

But yes, SFC's seem to be Mod #1 when it comes to FBodies. Everyone wants power adders first, but everyone realizes SFC's should be the first thing to get.
