Default Hal Springs Vs Stock Springs

What is the difference between the Hal springs and the stock springs. I am not interested in cornering just drag racing and driving on the street. My only car so it is driven daily.

Stick to the stock springs for the street. The HAL springs are very soft even when heavily compressed and are very bouncy.

Ditto. I wasn't told this before buying and my HAL springs are very soft and bouncy. For a straight drag car they are great, but on the street your ride definitely suffers, and to compensate to get a tolerable ride you have to dial the shocks to high heaven, and I just dont like the idea of running the shocks at such a high setting like that.

Thanks for the replys. Has anybody heard about the new Hal street/drag springs for the front. They are suppose to be a lot stiffer than the original ones.

I have the Hal springs with the R series struts and I really can't tell any difference on the street from factory springs/struts. I sure can tell a difference at launch though! Excellent weight transfer. I do have my set so the load is same as factory springs. For those who are getting bounch then add more dampening to the struts.

QA1 now has there new springs out and have discontinued there old version. The have 3 versions out now, Drag, Firm and semi-firm. I just ordered a set of QA1 drag springs for our test mule at work. However we might not get chance to try them out until spring, we have the motor pulled for our K-member design work
