V6 rear springs?

V6 rear springs? ive heard of some hardcore drag racers putting v6 f-body springs in their car because their softer and transfer weight better than stock v8 springs. my question is; do the v6 springs make the car sit any lower and how is ride quality with them vs stock v8 springs?

It would be great to hear some feedback from people using them. Would you do it again or went another direction? I hear some good and some bad. Mighty Mouse used them with HAL/QA1 shocks and went high 9's with them. There must be some advantage somewhere in there even though it doesnt seem right?
