Default The proverbial "whats the best shock for me" thread

My car is a 99 SS with 58K on the clock. I am in need of new shocks and was wondering what you guys suggest for a stock ride height never raced just daily driven car that is not and will not be lowered? I am saving for a wedding so I am on a budget here.

My car feels loose and wanders all over the road if it isnt perfectly flat and smooth. It also doesnt seem to ride as nice as it once did and now last week the front end started to make the worst creaking sound I have ever heard. Its so loud my father could hear it inside the house when i pulled in the driveway thats how loud it is.

I would suggest getting the good set of Bilstein HD's that Sam Strano has for sale. They are valved better for stock springs than the normal HD's that are on the market right now.
