Default Any validity to J&M bushings??

http://www.camaroz28.com/articles/jmbushing/

Found these while looking for something else. Is there any validity to these claims? Only reason i ask is because i have to replace the bushings on my LCA's anyways might as well get something like this while i'm at it if they really work.

I will say they seem better than plain solid LCAs w poly bushings. Like the add says....articulation is necessary.

Drag racers deal w the lack of articulation for less compliance on launch. But the bind they talk about is very bad for handling. I doubt this the "perfect solution", but it seems like a reasonable idea.

That said, If I were you (and what I plan to do) is just put 1LE style bushings in the stock arms to keep the articulation(via the stampings bending). Poly can "cold form" (I think thats the term), in other words the pressure it gets on a particular part of the bushing -say during launch- can give out, allowing the round hole in the bushing to become egg shaped. Poly does not return to form as rubber does.

I have greasable Edlebrock boxed LCA's. Would the 1LE bushings work?

Not sure on that one. But the boxed control arms are what limit the articulation. Stock stampings are designed to twist (thus allowing articulation). Putting a harder bushing in will limit the bushings compliance, furthering the bind issue. If you have boxed LCAs, you kinda need rod ends to give back the twisting motion. So if you are staying boxed, they ball type poly bushing should allow more articulation. But expect reduced ushing life if you are making the bushing to all the twisting.

Are they spherical (metal ball) bearing, or just plain old poly bushings?? I believe Edelbrock offered them either way (the sphericals being more $$$, of course).
