is their a difference between bilstein heavy duty shocks and just slp bilstein shocks?

Originally, it was the valving of the shock. SLP had Bilstein change the valving slightly from their 'regular' HD shock; of late, though, the HD shock has been valved the same as the SLP one, IIRC.

BTW, I've got a set I pulled off my Formula, if you want them. PM me for details.

The SLP Bilstiens are revalved for their springs. A bit soft, IMO..
