Default Steering racks interchangeable?

My 2000 SS is leaking fluid out of the boot on the steering rack like a SOB!

I can get a steering rack from a 95 Z28 for free. Leftover parts from an LS1 swap.

Are they interchangeable? Are the the same steering ratio?

If not, what is my best option for fixing it. I seen that Autozone had it, but I'd much rather put that money towards my FAST 90/90 combo.

Thanks

Default

The LT1 rack (and a v6 rack) has the steering shaft coming out at the wrong angle. It will point up too high and too close to the block. The LS1 rack points further down (towards the firewall) and further out toward the driver's fender, to clear the alternator and the #1 exhaust tube.

Well... so much for that idea, thanks for the help.

Where's the best place to get a new rack?
