Will my setup be ok?
Over the past year I have beeen buying UMI products. Well, I just went with the distributors recomendations on everything. This is what I have bought:
1 x UMI Front End Kit - Stage 2 (1998-2002 Camaro & Firebird LS1)
- Color: Red
- Material Type: Mild Steel
- Road Race K-Member: No FBS002
1 x Hotchkis Sport Coil Springs 1905
1 x SLP Bilstein Shock Package, 1993-2002 Camaro/Firebird (Set of 4) 70008
1 x Prothane Motor Mounts, Black (1998-2002 Camaro & Firebird LS1) 7-512
1993 - 2002 GM F-Body 3-Point Subframe Connectors- Bolt-In
1982 - 2002 GM F-Body Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets - Bolt-In
1982 - 2002 GM F-Body Tubular Non-Adjustable Lower Control Arms
1993 - 2002 GM F-Body Tunnel Brace Mounted Torque Arm w/ DSL - Long Tube Header Set-ups
1993 - 2002 Single adjustible Panhard bar
The only piece not UMI is my Hotchkis strut tower brace I already had. This is for weekends cruising, and track. Not a daily driver. Nothing has been put on yet, was even thinking about no front sway bar. I am really hoping to hear someone with a similar setup says its a good combo.

if you plan on having it as a weekend street car, then leave that sway bar on! if you are just tracking it cool...but leave it on there for street driving....the set-up sounds good man, are you upgrading your sway bars?

i would leave the sway bar on for the road and take off at the track. 5-10min ordeal taking it off and on.

Good idea on the swaybar removal at track only. Had not really thought about a swaybar upgrade until now. I am sure UMI sells a light version. Main thing I was worried about on my setup was: Not having the best shocks / springs, not having adjustible LCAs. I do not do any type of road racing that involves turning / handling.

I may do this later, right now I am saving for other needed parts.

Good choice and thanks for the business
If you have any questions regarding the sway bars please let me know.
Thank you!
