Are C5 Calipers Different to C5 Z06 calipers?

Default Are C5 Calipers Different to C5 Z06 calipers?

Hi LS1 guys,
Can you tell me if there is any deferent’s between the Corvette C5 calipers and the C5 Z06 calipers ?

Are the C5 Z06 calipers any better than my 02 Camaro SS calipers?

Sort of. They are forged, instead of cast, which is handy if you are road racing and spreading calipers. The good part about C5 brakes is the 13" rotor. Using a C5 caliper with a stock LS1 rotor is a bit of a waste, since the LS1 calipers have 44 mm pistons and C5 calipers have 40.5mm pistons. So, with stock rotors, you actually lose a bit of stopping power.
