Default Need Help Please

I am getting started changing my front brake pads, already did the rear brakes.

My problem, is that my rotor has a huge lip on the outer edge (from wear) and the caliper will NOT slip off. I have tried to gentle pry between the caliper and outside edge of the rotor to get the pistons to recess but no luck, it just dosn't give me enough room to slip the caliper off.

Thanks

You need to change rotors as well.

The caliper should just slip off. The pads are held into the abutment bracket

With the bleeder screw cracked, you should be able to jam a screwdriver between the pad and the rotor to compress the piston. I know you said you did this, but it should have given you more than enough room to get the caliper off.

Thanks for the advise guys. I used a 2 C-Clamp's to compress the pistons while the caliper was on the rotor. It worked!! LOL

Now I just need to decide on some rotors

Thanks again

Ws6store.com has a hell of a deal on drilled/slotted rotors. -----------> check em out.
