Default Good Camping location???

I live in DFW and have been to Lake Ray Roberts and Lake by Dallas (forgot the name). I am trying to plan a family vacation and wouldn't mind driving 2-3 hours away. Someone give me some good ideas for some places to go that we could pitch a tent and have a fire. I thought that I heard somewhere that there was a good place up in oklahoma a little or the panhandle.
