Default engine mod question

what would 7.4 pushrods do for my stock engine and can i use PRC Gold Double Springs on stock heads or what mods would i need to install them at what point with a cam do i need a double roller timing chain so i dont screw the engine

The dual golds will work with stock heads and are very nice upgrade. You should install hardened pushrods when you install the springs. There's no set point at which you need the double roller timing chain. I run just an LS2 timing chain to 7k RPMs on a 625RWHP engine, and I have had no issues. From what I've read, timing chains don't often break, but a double roller is always good insurance.

both the C5R and C6R race Corvettes use single rollers. . . . . .
