Doin' a cam install in Plano
Started yesterday.
In 4 hours (had **** to do) i managed to remove the radiator/ rack/ power steering/ water pump/ alot of other crap im forgetting about. Did this all with one 3/8 wratchet and a 40 piece craftsman socket set.
Today went a little bit better. Went through three different three jaw pullers on the harmonic balancer!!! Pulled the harmonic balancer, timing cover, cam retainer plate, cam, oil pump, pushrods, rockers, valve covers. Put a G5X1 cam in and some hardened comp pushrods. Got a new ls2 chain on abd aligned up the sprockets, tqed everything back down, got the water pump back on, got the rack back in to find out i have bad tie rod ends (theyre 90 bucks each for new ones!!!).. anyways, here's some more pics
Still need to do the valve springs, borrowed my neighbors air compressor and i might just do that tomorrow after work and try and button everything else back up.
BTW, have a 00 pewter FRC.
