Default Do you think I need new lifters?

so i'm going to install a torquer v.2 cam in my 99 ws6. it still has stock lifters and 120k on the clock. I REALLY don't want to have new lifters installed if i don't have to because of the obvious expense of pulling the heads. but do you think i would need some new ls7 lifters for this cam and these miles?

There are plenty of people that run the stock lifters with high mileage.

I would since it'll be halfway torn down.

I would change them. stock LS7 lifters from TSP arent expensive. If ur stock ones are wornout at little, its possible they could fail, then your looking at alot more to replace than just a $130 set of lifters, but thats IMO.

As stated it's not necessary, however it is good insurance since you are in already in there. I went ahead and replaced my CC lifters on my LT1 with LS7's when we did the cam swap last year even though it didn't need to be done.

I'd recommend it. You might as well change out the lifters while they're in the motor, and you might as well get new heads while the old ones are off. Lol. That's exactly what I'm having done today.

Pulling the heads are easier than pulling teeth, if u got the right tools.
