Default clutch

last night i went to run my car at the track, when i took off the tires spun horribly (sumitomo tires never buying them again) the clutch sunk to the floor and stayed there till it slowed down. does anyone know why this would happen?
im thinking its the master cylinder is going out.

Sounds like you need to just change the fluid and flush the system. When the fluid get over heated it breaks down. Check to see if the fluid is turning a dark color a good indication it needs changed. A lot of people with vetts and f-bodies that abuse their clutch have to flush and change fluid once a year. I would start there. Bleeding a f-body clutch can be a major pain (just a FYI)

I would do a search on bleeding the clutch. It goes a lot quicker if you have the tools to pull a vac.
