Buy o2 sims for like $40.... And then cut the connectors off a pair of your o2 sensors. Leave enough wire on each end to solder wire on. Thus extending them. Or just go have a shop turn the read o2's off and clear codes. It's like $60

I knew O2 sims were an option, but I am reluctant to take that route because the sims have been known to throw codes. I'd be better off just turning the sensor off. I called several local shops in the DFW area and was quoted in the neighborhood of 150 for a task that takes no more than 5 mins. Could ls1edit turn off the sensors?

i've never heard of the sims throwing code and all the guys ive known to use them have never threw codes either. only codes im throwing right now is the air and egr codes.
even with those on its not hurting the car. also all that stuff you may or may not have heard about your gas mileage going to **** and just being horrible if you dont get the car tuned after installing long tubes... im sorry i think thats total bull.
before install of my long tubes and y id get about 250-260 ish to a tank with normal driving in an A4.
now i get about 245-255 ish. so yeah i dont consider that a terrible loss in milage
