Default DFW: Where to get steering column changed out.

Anybody have this done in DFW? I bought one due to mine being somewhat tore up.

I obviously want to keep my key and security stuff as is so I would like someone with experience to do it.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

TIA

Cool thanks.. Locksmith gave me a tip regarding the VATS system and key so I might try to do it myself. Was worried more about that part than anything else.

Do it yourself. Just swap the cylinder from the old column to the new column. Unless that was the issue, then just have a new key cut.

There's a write up on taking the column apart somewhere on here. But it's not that hard.

I will look for it.

The new column is complete and I have the key.. tip from Locksmith is all they need to do is code the key to the VATS. They can use the old key to get code and flash the other to the same and I am good to go.

Only issue I can think of is I cannot go to a dealer and have a key cut after I do that since it will not match by VIN. Oh well I will just get a second key made when they are doing the other work.
