Little update. Should hopefully have the car back and completely painted in a few weeks. Here's some progress though.

A little update. Stopped by the shop today.

Engine bay is complete other than cut and buff, and prep is going on the rest of the car. Fenders were prepped/ painted also. Sneak peak on the color.

Not completely in the sun, but the sun gun shows the flake pretty good. Should look killer in the sun.

I'm definitely anxious. Paint shop is taking way too long! Wish I would have dropped if off way sooner.

So many pictures of this car saved to my hard drive.

When you swapped wheels, did you sell the powder coated C5 replicas?

Thanks guys. It'll definitely be in a world of its own. Only a few cars I think that will be able compete with it in cleanliness.

Yes, the c5 wheels were sold locally. I've yet to see them on a car around town though. Must have been another project.

well, those wheels in black made up my mind.

Ordered those in 18's so I can fit the 2nd gen CTSV brakes up front.

Car will be stupid clean, I'd hate to have to detail it though haha.

I plan to have the rockers, front bumper, hood, and sides of the rear bumper wrapped in clear film to keep the paint protected and probably opti coating the engine bay and rest of the car. Detailing it should be a snap.

I originally was going to do the 2nd gen v brakes but found these brakes almost local from a tech member I've bought from and sold to many times so I jumped on these. Also, don't the gen 2 calipers use paddlets?

Car is looking sweet man! One of the nicest fbodys I've seen. Saw it before you got everything painted now it just looks killer! I'm the guy who bought your c5s my project is finally running but definitely not as clean as yours! I'm loving the wheels man

Car is being painted by custom coach works. Bob haynes

Got a couple of parts from MWC.
Ordered front and rear bumper supports as well as their true subframe connectors. I decided to ditch the UMI 3pts in favor to of these as I have plans to try and flat bottom the car in the future, and using these will make a much flatter and easier platform to start with.
