Any Pipeline folks on here?
I'm a pipefitter by trade with a AWS-CWI and I'm looking to get on the Pipeline..I've been in the refineries since 2002 and been QA/QC since 2008.I'm ready to get out of this type of work and hit the pipeline..anyone on here looking for CWI's? Any help would be appreciated,I have all kinds of connections with refineries and offshore but limited on pipeline..Thanks y'all

I don't know if you want to move or not, but checkout Pipeliners local 798 out of Tulsa, OK. I know some pipeliners that are members. They work on pipelines here in the Texas panhandle and do jobs in Colorado. A friend of mine has a son that started as a helper at 19 and now is a pipeliner making something like $90/hour in Colorado.

I talked to an organizer for the pipeliner union and he said the combo welders with their own rigs make some big bucks. I am too old to start over and I don't want to travel so I didn't look more into it.
