I got a chance to see them in concert a few years back. It was awesome. Sad to see another great go.

same here, i saw them in houston with marilyn manson....still can't believe that slayer took second billing behind MM. i like both groups, but c'mon....it's ******* SLAYER!

i grew up jamming to slayer (and the rest of the big 4), and i'm really glad i got to see them in their original lineup.

the band & the world will never be the same again, we all definitely lost another one of the all-time greats.

RIP my brother.

I got to see them in Irvine Meadows along with Judas Priest & Megadeath. Great show, I think, too much Jagermeister and weed so my memory is somewhat clouded!

Metal to the core, nothing else compares.

another metal legend is gone

Hanneman was only 49 and had a unique condition, but there are some guys out there that are really getting up there in age... I have a bad feeling we're going to start seeing some other legends start dropping in the near future.
