Default Runway Rivalry in Dallas - May 18, 2014

There has been a growing interest across the country for roll racing events. However, most of the events currently in place cater only to cars well over 1,000 whp, leaving a gap in opportunities for enthusiasts in the 500-1000 hp range.

I am part owner of DallasRacing.net, a Dallas-based automotive community. Our members have felt the pain of this issue, and we are going to do something about it! We are using the foundation laid by Texas Speed Syndicate (TSS), organizers of the elite Texas Invitational (TI), to create an opportunity for mid-level powered cars to compete head to head on the same runway used by TI. That’s right - they are sharing with us their experience, their knowledge, and most importantly, their venue!! Our event will be very similar to TI; we will have the same starting light, the same speed trap, and the same bad *** side-by-side racing right here in the heart of Texas!! However, instead of watching it all on YouTube, you will have the opportunity to participate in the action.

DallasRacing.net will be hosting Runway Rivalry (RR) May 18, 2014. RR will be open to any street car below the 1,000 whp mark – Vipers, Corvettes, GTRs, Lambos, CTS-Vs, Mustangs, Camaros – all are welcome! Register today and start getting ready! I will answer any questions I can, feel free to post up or PM me!

Registration link: Runway Rivalry | Texas Speed Syndicate

Event discussion and grudge match setup will all be handled at DallasRacing.Net

Well that sucks! Too much hp for this event but still not enough to do any good at TI. I think you should bump this event up to 1100.

I'd put a bigger cog pulley on your F2, have it legitimately under 1000rwhp, and enter. Trap Speeds will always dictate to some degree sandbagging, as well as the judges at the airfield hearing cars pedal it on the top end(they're pretty good). Your setup, even with a big pulley on the F2 should make good tq and make it competitive. You also have a shoe in as not being a trash talking Dbag that hasn't ever run a number at the track. Just a thought, and your car would turn some heads, even from the vette guys. Besides meeting you at the track a few times and driving to your house for the radiator years ago, I think you can get in.

2. Maximum Horsepower Rating. All vehicles must be 1,000whp or below. If your setup is capable of, or has made more power than 1000whp before, you will not be invited to RR. This is a competition for vehicles of a certain power level, if you are above the 1,000whp level, please register for The Texas Invitational.

Guess this means I'm going to have to pull the restrictor and run the TI when I can get in.

Sorry about that Jason, not sure why your account was moved to banned users, but I've fixed your permissions. Please create an intro thread and the rest of the forum will be available after an hour, thanks!
