Texas brothers who have registered a salvage car
What all is involved getting a recent salvage vehicle registered? I did all the repairs myself and robbed all the necessary parts from a donor car IE fender, door, tie rod and spindle.
So whats my next step in getting this car registered? I've done a few searches and came up short with what texas will consider a salvage but not what to do to get it registered. do i just go to the DMV and say i need this registered in my name?

Go to the County Tax Collector/DMV and pick up a packet for Texas Rebuilt-Salvage Vehicle Title. Basically, you need the signed pink title, passed Texas Safety & Emissions inspection (normal State Inspection), Vehicle Insurance, Valid TX ID, on packet you will need to input name and address of shop or person who "rebuilt" the vehicle, list of parts replaced or repaired on the vehicle, filled out Application For Texas Title/Registration Form 130-U, and I believe there is one more form that they give you.

Another easier option would be to go to a place or person who the transfer for you. Usually small car lots have or know someone who can help you. Or even at a local Super Market.
Good Luck!
