Houston area: Good local place for complete LSx pull outs? Are there any shops, junkyards, etc., that are local to Houston and deal with LSx complete engine/trans/accessories pull outs?
Looking for some local options, rather than Ebay and Craigslist.

I looked around for quite a while here in Houston for the exact same thing. Finally had to take a leap of faith and found a lq4/4l80e for 1k. The guy let me pull the valve covers, but would not let me pull the heads. However, you could see the head gasket was original.

I'm friends w/ an engine builder in the Aldine District that can find pullouts. He doesn't use them in his shop, but been in the business for about 30yrs so knows people. PM me if you're interested & I'll get y'all in touch. I know his guy comes up w/ 5.3's fairly regularly, but how complete I'm not sure.

I had it a bit easier since I was looking for an iron block. Finding an aluminum block I am sure you might have to know someone through someone. Good luck and keep us posted.
