Anyone have a recommendation for a quality local Austin shop that can replace a rear main seal? What started out as a little leak has turned into a full blown puke, and now I need to replace it before I glaze my clutch.

Any trans repair shop should b able to handle it. Don't necessarily need a performance oriented shop for that. Any trans shop has experience in removing transmissions quickly and replacing em just back as quick. Take them the parts u got. Gasket and seal or new a another cover w a new seal alredy installed. In case they don't know how to install the new seal. Its happened.

Isn't there a special alignment tool needed to install the rear cover?

Check with Moorespeed....off 183 and Burleson. Ask for Price and tell him Kyle sent you. I do some tuning for them and they have an outstanding facility.
