Are you kidding me. GTRs outnumbered every car there 7 to 1. I dont like vettes but the giant deuschebag drivers seem to stick with the GTR platform. Yes they are hands down probably the fastest average car out there but break the ******* tranny and thats a 25k expense **** that..

Where you always so brand new lambos, twin turbo lambos, a Mclaren, brand new ferraris.
Not exactly the same stuff you see on a regular day to day basis..

And last I checked a brand new complete Trans is a 15k..
You can have them built for mild power for 5k or 6k.
You can easily spend the same amount of money on a Vette drivetrain..
Hell you can spend 20k on a auto swap on a z06 if you want to reliably run 8s and such like the Gtrs do.

Probably a lot. It's pretty damn easy to sink that kinda cash into building a car.
That kinda money in a gtr gets you a reliable 9 or even 8 second car that your wife could drive down the strip from what I hear..
That kinda money in a Vette gets you a 10 second car with a decent mph that breaks a lot of ******* parts.

I honestly dont like both but have respect for them.. Last I checked 09 and 10 GTRs were in high 60s low 70s. Ok so send that to AMS or Jotech. Jotech stage 2 your lookin at low 10 sec car any more power your gonna need to rebuild the tranny a built badass tranny is gonna run you 20-25k in a GTR.OK so just low 10 sec GTR your lookin at 85k. Lemme spend 85k on a LS3 auto C6. Lets see who has the fastest more reliable car for less..
Lemme help you. A base c6 LS3 car with auto I can find one for about 30k. put a stall converter, cam , headers, ECS 1500 Novi and you got a 9 sec car for around 46-50k. Dont deny this Ive seen it done 100 times
Again though I dont like vettes. My V will run well into the 9's on bottle and I got less than 60k in it... WITH STOCK MANIFOLDS

My cars don't really apply as they make relatively low power.
The stock drivelines seem relatively reliable into the 800rwhp range??
I'm talking about the cars with a lot of money sunk into them to make a lot of power...
It looks to just cause more problems and not really make a difference at the track....
Of course I guess you could argue that depending on what type of racing your doing. You need a lot of power?
That's why I just keep holding off on installing this twin turbo kit I have. i just don't feel it's worth it until I also have a powerglide or something similar in the car..
See all the times slips for the cars make 1000+rwhp????

I just quit my job. Going to take the summer off and spend some quality time with the kids and some white women.
so I Dont think I'll purchase a gtr any time soon. I'll just stick with my pos vettes. Lol

No your incorrect. You may be able to get away with a couple 8 second passes with 7k. but if you want a RELIABLE 8 second GTR guess what

Or the guys saying they run 8s at 150 with the shep 2.5 and no issues??
