Rehab Garage in Tomball Texas would be considered a "chop shop" under most ratings systems. The sensationalist, egotistical attitude of the management and ownership dominates the absolute incompetence of the business. Let's get beyond the over 25 postings, multiple videos, and media claims that have been disputed and removed since December 9, 2017. And let's bypass the absurd claim that since Feb 2016, this shop has had an ongoing commitment from the Discovery Channel for a reality show, filming to have been suspended several times, not exactly what the execs at Discovery say: "XXXX – I spoke with Discovery Studios. Please note nothing has been pitched to the networks yet. " Christina Scripps Director Media Relations Discovery Channel. So let's do some fact checking. Even the actual postings are so inaccurate, they are openly disputed. Without the over 90% of reviews coming from friends (at least one of them, a best friendworker in the shop-good deal I guess) and employees who have never had work, the rating would be just a little over 1.0, even a recent post related to "engine rebuilds' is false, written by a friend and can be disputed by five recent clients who have filed suit, and arranged to pull projects for exactly this topic, motors that were set out for rebuilds, without the knowledge of individuals, and at sub-standard work for a premium price. Of these clients, the average return time was greater than 4 times the agreed time for repairs, and in 4 of the cases the motor had to be returned multiple times, with 2 of the clients finally going elsewhere. Of the 14 photos posted, which had no permission from any of the owners, the white 95 zx is currently 5 months over due for completion and approximately $30,000 over budget, just before sending to powerfab for the motor (guess the promo didn't work-good call), the 55 Rocket 88 is also multiple months overdue, and thousands over budget, with the owner disputing multiple times in person, and so frustrated, it sickens him to follow up, in this situation, parts were lost by the shop, and the owner was told that they were beyond repair, and charged for new ones, the 91 Camaro is a basic Camaro that has exceeded $80,000 in work over an extended 7 months, with an owner so frustrated, he often calls in a fit of rage to get answers, the 46 Bentley is a shame, months overdue, 10s of thousands over budget and eventually discovered that 53 parts and items were substituted for the already paid OEM parts from England, what a mess, most likely going into suit as well, the 58 Packard is a tragedy as this gent is living on borrowed time and had the car shipped from CA, that specifically stated in the bogus contracts the garage enlists, to only evaluate the car and report back the possible options, but when the garage needed cash and work over the holidays, the car was nearly completely disassembled and when the owner returned to find it, it lead to the owner having an actual heart attack, and is still undergoing intense medical attention and will most likely be facing unrepairable options, one truck came to the shop nearly completed, and has been in the process for over 18 months and $30,000 extra, and still is not even re0assembled, facing an estimate of another $35,000 bringing the total from an originally documented estimate by the Rehab Garage owner of $24,750 to a current total of over $56,000 and counting. The amount of incompetence is staggering. Of the 26 clients over the past 90 days, at least 15 have had disputes over extended time and massive budget issues. The work environment is horrific as the building is literally falling apart with plastic landscape sheets dividing work areas, ceiling tiles falling, pipes breaking, out coded electrical, smoking permitted in the building, parking pot full of holes/hazards, and then electric and water being turned off for non payment. One day, the first shift arrived at 0430, and the workforce of 23 employees were forced to work for the entire day until close at 6:00 PM with no water, and overflowing cesspool bathrooms, and the owner was nowhere on the premises. The front of the building is sensationally adorned with a full facade mural, which if seen closely, is absolutely horrible quality. This from a shop claiming and charging prices to be at the premium level of quality? Another recent post of a car delivered for Christmas is a joke. The post is inaccurate to the work completed, and the car was one of two recent builds that went more than $100,000 OVER the original estimates. This car was the FIRST (and only) full rebuild completed by this shop from start to completion in the last three years of business--stellar performance! They take advantage of municipalities as well, as the Firetruck so proudly boasted went months over schedule, thousands over budget and was knowingly returned unfinished and in a hazardous condition at the direct order of the owner, in order to collect a much needed check. If the Ponderosa Fire chief (even the infamous reviewer Chris Roe, stepped out of the truck and called it "evil" refusing to deliver it, before the owner stepped into the cab and delivered the vehicle- WE ARE TALKING ABOUT LIVES HERE) knew this, I am certain legal action would follow. The truck was so bad, that it was returned back to the garage for correct services. A recent appearance at the AutoRama trade show, made a huge impression with the largest, and most appealing booth in the show, all planned less than three weeks before the show and ALL paid for by outside sponsors and partners that were new to the Rehab Program with no prior business before Nov, 2017. In fact over $61,000 of cash and in kind support was raised in a less than three week period of time by an outside source which was later dismissed. Of the vendors and suppliers that participated, not a single participant has been paid, and of the workers, ALL employees had to buy their own entry ticket, none were paid and of tips generated from the detailing of cars for the KRUSE auction, all tips were kept by the owners of REHAB GARAGE, the workers were given NOTHING. In a most recent set of events, the owners purchased a detail company that was extremely profitable and had clients, corporate clients and pre-paid clients, with all monies transferred into the RG accounts at the time of sale Oct 18, 2017. The owners closed the business, shut down the access in social media and kept the cash, telling client callers, that nothing was transferred or received in the sale, but we are posting documents to prove that incorrect. In fact on the third payday in Nov, all the employees from all divisions were told they could not be paid, and no parts could be ordered, all on a three week profit run of over $60,000 a week...how is that possible? Of those that dispute and complain, the owners have enlisted the use of nefarious individuals to harass and abuse people, scaring them into submission as seen by the example of text messages and the discussions referencing "Will". The business will respond by saying "these people are unhappy, disgruntled, etc, etc, etc" We left the state over the holidays, returning to false, egotistical, slanderous posts on the actual Rehab Garage FB page, and abuse of over 100 text, calls and emails a day. At least two of these individuals are multiple felons. For anyone interested and if the business decides to push back, we have the financial statements, emails and also client statements ready to post validating the accuracy of every statement made in this review. We are expecting retaliation and attack, as the owners are too full of pride to accept constructive criticism and assistance. In fact, our lives have been made a living hell from the horrific attacks on our family and legitimate business. We attempted to resolve the issues and have the responses to that as well. The operation has the potential to be a top notch, first rate, service provider, but has been poorly managed under the ignorant leadership of those who have absolutely zero business acumen or respect for client service to others. We understand that the charismatic, TV show icon owner will most certainly attack as they have been. We are prepared to offer significant proof, texts, emails and contact phone numbers of over two dozen individuals that will validate the information. Our suggestion, get out of the business. Remember, we were riding off in the sunset like most other frustrated clients, when the public posts, calls for harassment and enlistment of others to attack us was made....we did nothing to draw the fire. Since the initiation of call of harm from the enlistment of a know Jihadist Domestic Terror individual and a known and verified family member of MS-13 associates, (who's names we can provide and who can be seen revering to "Will" in the death threat text..our children have been threatened, my wife threatened with rape and daily/nightly abuse. The owners have also used their "credibility" with local business owners to slander our name, have us boycotted from services and attacked, even with false police reports, fabricated, posted on social media, then miraculously dropped. These are some really horrible people, and the minority owners of the company are aware, complacent and supportive of all these actions.
