Post Possible CAT3 or CAT4 Hurricane Headed For Houston/Galveston

Hurricane Update as of 10 AM CST

Just giving everyone a heads up. This morning they had the path going near Corpus Christi. However they have changed it and the Hurricane is now on a new path to Houston. It would actually hit just left/south of Houston, meaning we would get the Dirty side

It'd be messed up if it turned and hit New Orleans.

From what I understand, most forecasters go off the "GFDL" reading (the red line.)

You gotta look at the 5 day tracking map.

All that's showing is a possible area where the hurricane might go, no defined path. It's showing the intensity of the hurricane as it progresses as well.

The map I posted shows the forecast of the different computer models used to forecast the hurricanes movement.

The little Dots are its projected path. The colors surrounding it are % of error according to other weather factors. As of now the national weather service is predicting that once it reached the Texas area the Highest probable strike is just below galveston. I am guessing Freeport

All I can guess is they show the projected center in those locations because the majority of the computers forecast it along that route. I've heard that most forecasters go off the GFDL, I can't confirm that though.

No one will know anything about this storm until Tuesday or Wed. It still needs to swipe the keys first, and then they we will see where it's path is.

True....True.. Thats when we'll all have our best "knowing" of where it will make landfall. To bad that damn cell of high Presure is moving off to the east otherwise that would have help Houston/Galveston From getting a direct hit! Oh well maybe we can all go take shelter in the Astrodome and bring our knives and guns
