I have read/seen where they are suppose to run low 13's stock and how ford finally made a mustang capable of giving the ls1 a run for its money. Is that 255 way off what it SHOULD be? He said the owner did put 4.33's in the rear of a bone stock car. Or are the new 05's nothing up to the hype? Be unbiased as i'm looking for information to be informed

This is just a GT. Wait until the supercharged Cobra shows up. Rumored to be over 480 HP.

Yeah, but the Cobra is their 'real life' super car. the ford GT isnt on the street enough like our corvettes. So the z06 should handle that cobra.

As for the Mustang GT, I was reading around, lookin at them, etc b/c i thought about getting one before i decided to just dump cash into my dime and they were running 13.5 or so, stock... but that 255hp doesnt add to that. So i wasnt sure if that dyno was low, or not.

Last yr the Cobra was rumored at 550hp b/c the new Lightning was rumored at 550hp also.

How ironic we are doing the same thing today , installed the zex kit lastnight , putting it on the dyno today .. Tuning it with STC software , gonna run it at 75shot and 125 .. This guy still has the stock air inlet and filter though .. I will make sure to post up some numbers later on this evening

keep in mind though they still kept that emissions honeycomb thing in the intake, and kept the cats and all stock exhaust too so thats a lot of restriction.

I was just thinking, its kind of funny these new mustangs are going to cost a lot to mod, like headers. The 5.0s were cheap as hell to get stuff for, and LS1s seemed so much more expensive when I had friends with 5.0s, but now its probably the opposite with these new mustangs.

No joke about the sponsors. I remember their LT1 Camaro they were working on, they used the crappiest over-priced products they could find, and then they were all excited when they saw how they gained just a little power from all the work they did. If only they would have done some checking and bought the good stuff instead of the crap their sponsors gave them, they would have gained twice as much power for less money .

And don't even get me started about that LS1 SS . . .

The baseline that they started with was with 4.30 gears the owner put in I believe.I agree they wasted a **** load of money imagine the numbers they could have got if they used products worth a ****.

haha i watched it, gaid like 6 hp from the flowmasters!@, they should have spent the money on a nice headers back setup to 3in piping to something like magnaflows or better, intake was a good start, and the nitrous wasn't too bad, but the money could have been spent better.
