ATTN!!!:Theft in College Station
I don't know how many of you are aware of what happened on Sunday night/ Monday morning. Appearently 17 cars were broken into and robbed aorund University and Spring Loop area. I had a news reporter come to my apartment to ask some questions. Fortunately I was not a victim, this time. My Saturn was broken into about 1 yr. The College Station PD is putting together a task force to combat crime of this nature, but like I told the reporter, the criminals are were the police aren't.
Anyway, my point to all this is to guard your car and the stuff in it. Write down serial numbers of your radio and other electronics. Take out what you can. Do not leave CD's in your car. If you are leaving for Thanksgiving, lock up everything as well as possible. Also, if you are coming in from Austin to watch the game, take precautions as well. We need to discourage these criminals as much as we can so they do not keep coming back.

i have the utmost respect for the law and police officers and have deserved almost every citation i've ever gotten. that said, college station police are ******* fund raisers. not just the locals, i've had serious problems with the pair of troopers that usually patrol 6 from just south of CS to a little past 105 going towards houston.
that sucks but the break ins always happen and always will. you can't expect anyone but yourself to look out for you.

Sucks, my roommate's truck got broken into last night and had his cd player/head unit stolen. They also hit 4 other cars in my neighborhood including one right across the street.
This was off of Welsh and Navarro
It can happen anywhere, if you have an aftermarket unit you might think about detaching the face or taking any precautions necessary to protect your stuff.

Did anyone see the focus hatchback on 2x4's in the sevilla parking lot? Not to be captain obvious, but I think they got their wheels stolen. Im a little scared cuz I'm about to put my HP evos on and I live right near sevilla. At least I will have some security cuz I bought them gorrila locking lug nuts. I might even ask for an alarm for christmas. Well, we'll see what happens.

Locking lugnuts are a very good idea. I have some on my Z06 wheels and they did not attempt to take them off of my car when they messed with my roommate's truck.
