do you need the mirror glass itself, or just the housing? i have a new unpainted housing for $20 here in plano/garland/mesquite. its new, but has a few scuffs from being moved around a bunch.

Good luck my friend. I somehow, someway broke one of the three cables which direct the mirror in the housing. Went up to the local chevy dealer and got quoted 140 bucks for the mirror and housing. Was also told that you cannot just purchase the mechanism which controls and directs the mirror. Its either you buy the mirror itself, or the whole goddamn housing which needs to be repainted....At any rate, I fixed it with some kind of super 2 component titanium epoxy my dad had at his shop. Hope yours is an easy fix, spending that kinda money on something stupid like that hurts.

I had the same problem. I just bought the replacment mirror and replace the guts so I did not have to get the shell painted. I looked through a bunch of junk yards and could not find the mirror unbroken...

When I had my alarm installed on my TA the idiots leaned on my driver side mirror and broke it. I took it apart yesterday and ghetto rigged it b/c I couldn't find any 4th gen t/a's at the scrap yards.
