WTT: Your T56 for my 4l60 or WTB: Parts for T56 conversion
I realize there's already someone else wanting to do the same thing, but here goes:
If you're like me and want a shop to do the swap, the place I talked to (TDP) charges $400 per car to do the swap + an additional $250 if you need the wiring/computer stuff done on yours (I do).
If you already have the parts out and just want to trade for my stuff (+cash if you have a recent rebuild/clutch/etc. or something that warrants it) as soon as it's out of the car, we can do that too.
And if I can find anyone to with, if you have most or all the parts I need for a 6-speed conversion, let me know what you're asking.
My car is a nearly stock (lid/exhaust) '99 T/A. NEVER seen the strip, raced, or otherwise beat on. Tranny has 78k on it, 90%+ from my 60 mi drive to work (all highway). Tranny is stock, and I changed the fluid/filter at 50k. Would prefer a T56 with a similar history, but I'll consider anything.
Again, open to anything, I just want to get this done.
