Default E85 now in Houston

So now that this fuel is in Houston (and .50 per gallon less than reg. gas)will it work with our cars? The only problem I've heard of is that the high oxygen levels of E85 will mess with the oxygen sensors, so couldn't you just get some o2 sims and off road y pipe to over come this probem. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

E85 with corrode the entire fuel system if it is not designed to operate with it.

THe vehicle also really needs an alternative tune for E85, as stoich A/F ratios and the octane are changed.

the Flex Fuel vehicles designed to burn E85 have larger injectors and higher volume fuel pumps, to support the extra fuel required..

Newer GM's are flexfuel (not f-bodies though). You'll need a tune, but I havent found conclusive evidence that e85 breaks down anything as bad as straight ethonol or alcohol or the like. At least not on hi-po parts like injectors, fuel rails, lines, etc. There's a thread on turbomustangs.com about a mustang running e85 to 1000rwhp

City of Houston (at least the traffic light guys from what Im told) Have been running 100% for about a month now. When i get some time...im gonna log some data and see what the LTFT and KR are looking like. The truck I have access to is a 2000 model if Im not mistaken....we'll see how long it stays together
