Default Whining Gears...

Hey guys I got a quick queston, I got my car from CT and the guys who installed the gears suck (eastside performance). Basically they whine like crazy and it is getting annoying. Do I have to get new gears or could I pay a shop to adjust the backlash/pinion depth to quite them down. I was hoping to get a responses as to what I might pay to have this done (if it can be). thanks fellas.

If it is installed wrong(back lash/pinion depth is off) you will be able to fix the whine for the most part, maybe not 100%, but should be able to quit it down. Some gear sets are just loud, what brand gears you put in and how long have you been driving it since the install?

Gear installation is no easy deal. It's best to fine a reputable shop and or individual that's knowledegable. I'd get it double checked, if it's setup improper you could be risking the entire rear-end.
