He reminds me of the dumb stoner/slacker kid in high school who ran for student body president as a joke. Then he accidentally won because everybody thought it would be "cool" to vote for him.

Like when "Leslie" the homeless transvestite almost became the mayor of Austin.

There's a local guy thats also on tech thats apart of his campaign. Just trying to get me to vote for him, but he was giving me some interesting facts about him and his campaign. I don't know much about his future policies, but i would vote him in just due to the fact that he would be a change. I'm tired of the political atmosphere as of late. One of the cool/funny things is his campaign manager is the same one that help Jesee "The Bull" Ventura get elected to as Gov. of Minesota.

Too bad the Gov. of texas doesn't have the political sway as some gov's in the other states.

Exactly. The Governor strongest power is backing up legislation and face time. Ann Richards was on TV or in a magazine every day it seemed helping her party. Rick Perry? Unless it's election time you won't even see him talking to the media.

Kinky will be on TV and he will get legislation he likes passed unless it's really off the wall. Honestly I'm suprised no one has brought up his music. Some of the stuff is on par with David Allen Coe.

He was also running against a very popular woman at the time. If nothing else everyone in Texas with a TV or a newspaper will know who Kinky is now, can't say the same for the democrat or Strayhorn.

Have you guys ever really sat & listened to how he plans on handling alot of Texas problems with the border & the issue's of this state. This guys has no clue. I watched a interview with him & he was stumped when asked all of these questions.

He won't be getting my vote.

Hence the "almost" part of his sentence.
