Started new 25.2 chassis today!!!
hey everyone im building a 1969 Camaro racecar. im constructing a full chrome-moly tube chassis to SFI 25.2 specs certifyable to 6.00
i just started to get some serious work done on the car so ill take lots of pics and keep everyone who is interested in this build posted when ever i make any progress
the car will be powered by a 2007 Cadillac Escalade engine(heavily modified) and upgraded with 2 88mm Precision Turbos. Lenco trans will be employed to get power to my all aluminum hand made rear end.
the entire body is going to be constructed of carbon fiber and kevlar for strength and weight savings
i rented the molds from famed car builder Joe VanOverbeek to build the body
this car is the most in depth race car project i have ever been involved with, so what better one to tackle than my own. im hoping to run the HOT ROD Magazine Drag Week in the power adder smallblock class with the car
anyway let the games begin!!!

you know how some sub par welds can look great after powdercoat, well I'm using Eastwood Diamond Clearcoat on the bare metal to showcase the welds. I used Norton Abrasive mesh tape to prep the metal and get all the raw molybdenum off the surface before clear.

Well guys, my car is going on hold for a few months, as my best friend has brought it to my attention that "Beaudacious Fab" has to resto-mod his 1967 chevy II.Since it is going to be L92 powered I figured, what better site to document a build like this. Im just wondering if I should hi-jack my own thread here or start a new one. its not going to be 25.2 certified but there will be some serious fab work that I think all you Tech enthusiasts will appreciate.
