socket size for spark plugs?

i need help guys please i am working on a V6 camaro for my sisters boyfriend and his spark plugs are rusted really bad and i need to know what size socket i need to get them out i tried 5/8 and it was too big so it has to be smaller than that and what size joint do i use thanx for your help!

It depends on the spark plug brand generally there are 4 starndard sizes of spark plugs.
5/8 in, 13/16 in, 3/4 in, and 18mm
Ive been owned by google there are 5 sizes
9/16 is the last one.
