1972 Protour Nova SS.
Where to start? I built this car from a roller I traded my convetible Z28 Camaro for. I have a ton of hours in this car and it has some what evolved over the last 3 years. If you are wanting a 100 point show car look else where, If you want something that every one turns to look and see what is making all the noise, than this is the car for you. This car will make you an immediate attention *****. Its loud, but in a good way. I drove this car on 2 legs of the power tour and it got around 13 to 14 miles a gallon, not great but what 1000hp car gets 20+? I will post the details below of what all is done to this car but I am sure I will leave some stuff out. Why am I selling this car? I am an engineer by trade and I love building cars more than I do driving or racing them. I have built a bunch of different stuff in the last 10 years. I built this car for a reason. REHAB. Thats right I had a bad car accident in 2008. It almost killed me. On my road to recovery I figured what better way to get over totaling my 600+ hp GTO than build a 1000+ hp Nova. Most of the stuff is custom on this car and additional photos can be found in prochargers catalog and in the October 2010 issue of Super Chevy. Its the car on the Cover. I have been building the next car in my head and I am ready to pull the trigger on it. So this one has to go. See specs below. I will consider trades, NO boats or bikes.

The Good The Bad and The ugly.
Things about this car, I am going to come out and tell you everything you need to know right now. There is an insane amount of powder coat work on this car. Even the bell housing and rear motor plate are powder coated. Why did I have this done? IDK? The power steering pump whines at times. Why because the corvette never came with hydro boost and the pump don't like it. There is a small power steering leak at the steering box. I am 90% sure its an o-ring, Its not bad and does not leak all the time. when it does its only very little. The Paint is not perfect. It has a rock chip or 2 cause I drive the car, alot. The car a speed density tune in it. It can be slightly temperamental until it reaches operating temp. After that it is perfect. (Like any hot rod.) The fuel level sender has its good and bad days, its summit piece so a replacement is cheap. The blinkers do no work due to the fact the hazzard light switch is broken. The seats are fixed. They can be easily moved but I am the only person that ever drives and has driven the car. In a nut shell, This car is Loud and faster than most any thing you will ever drive. It has ran a best of 6.39 in the 1/8 at 108, on a set of slicks. Yes it corners and runs in a straight line. You can drive this car any where. It will not run hot and runs on pump gas. I repeat runs on 92 pump gas. It makes all this power on pump fuel. I have a dyno sheet for the car on a Dyno Dyanmics Load bearing Dyno on 18 psi of boost it makes 775 to the tires. The blower belt was slipping (8 rib belt) I have since replaced the blower drive with a 12 rib and it will make 20+ psi. I am sure this car will put down 850 to the tires with no belt slip. If you dont like attention, do not buy this car. I cant go anywhere in it with having a 30 min conversation about the car. There are a few small things wrong with the car, all are mentioned above. There are no surprises with this car. The body is solid with no rust, no patch panels, none. The orginal color on the car was gold. The car was painted when I got it. It looks good but is not perfect.

Damn, I don't even usually like those year/style Nova's (bigger fan of the earlier "box" shaped Nova), but that is a nice car.

Just wish my C5 was worth enough to offer up.....

Good luck with the sale, very nice work.
