1977 LT Type Camaro 1970 MOD!!!
Year: 1977
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Camaro
Price: $9500
Mileage: 0
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): AZ
Color: Red
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Front Wheel Drive
What Was Done!
The original 1977 front clip was removed as well as the drivetrain. The interior was removed to begin prep for paint. We had the frontend, firewall and complete undercarriage was sandblasted and recoated. The fuel tank was pulled, flushed out and a new fuel sending unit installed.
The engine is the original 305 motor. We went through the entire motor from top to bottom. While putting it back together we installed the fallowing list of NEW parts and accessories. Intake Manifold, Performer RPM Air-Gap, Dual Plane, Aluminum, Black, 4-barrel Square Bore, Chevy, 5.7L, Vortec, 1 Inch aluminum open carburetor spacer, Edelbrock 1406 - Performer Carburetor, alternator, starter, distributor, wires, cap ect, fuel pump, water pump, power steering pump and lines, fan, belts, hoses, lines, battery, performance timing chain and gears, only the best gaskets used throughout, new motor mounts. For esthetics we also installed chrome timing chain cover, chrome Edelbrock air intake and valve covers, chrome dipsticks engine and trans, new oil pan. The block was painted stock blue. All the brackets were painted red, everything installed with new bolts, washers and nuts. Exhaust system headers wrapped and sealed with high temp silicone, duel exhaust chrome tipped. Wiring harness from the firewall forward pulled apart gone through, repaired and redone in red…
The transmission is the original 305ht. When we pulled it apart there was hardly any wear and the case was in good shape. Never the less we rebuilt the whole thing from on end to the other and new trans cooler lines. The transmission was painted gray, linkage done in red, cross member done in red and new trans, mount and bolts….
Original Keystone rims with oval washers from the 70s. New rubber all the way around!!! When installing the front clip we chose to use one from a 1970 Camaro with a hood scoop and man does it look shape!!
What this car needs…
The car needs to be prepped and painted, the trunk cleaned out painted, lights and chrome reinstalled. The interior has been pulled for paint it needs to be redone/replaced. We have the seats, door panels, center console and plastics for front and back, all the dash components but not the soft upper dash cover. Weather stripping for the doors, also needs carpet and headliner at this point the color is really your choice… rickscamaro.com has these parts new and cheap even a whole kit if you wanted to go that route…. but not needed. Maybe some other small miscellaneous things. Also needs a simple dust cover for the tranny nothing more.
Also needs a trunk lock some oval washers and lugs for the rims. All the glass is good other than the front windshield. This can be pulled before paint anyway… This car runs great and fires up now!!! This car has been taken far and is about there. Unfortunately do to health issues I can’t finish this wonderful Camaro and it must be sold.
