2000 Firehawk Trans-Am #450
Year: 2000
Make: Pontiac
Model: Trans Am
Price: $8000
Mileage: 104000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): VA
Color: Blue
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine
The build has about 1000 miles and was completed about 6 months ago. The body has 104xxx miles. It was originally an M6 car but was converted to stalled auto. The conversion is very clean and has a factory Firehawk auto console. The engine was rebuilt with new rings and bearings. 228R cam on 112LSA. PAC 1218 springs. Melling oil pump. LS7 lifters. All new gaskets. 853 heads. All new seals/gaskets and head gaskets/ head bolts. New water pump. LS1 intake, SLP lid. AIR and EGR deleted. Rear 02's deleted. Pacesetter longtube headers. Prothane engine mounts.
Transmission is a built 4l60E. Has beast sunshell, 10 vane pump, BW high-energy clutches etc, all new solenoids. Valve body and hydraulics mods.
4500 stall converter specd by PTC. The rear end is stock and is 3.42 ratio. Tires are close to end of life and will need to be replaced soon.
Has corbeau seats on corbeau brackets. New carpet. AEM wideband in ac vent. Interior was converted from tan to ebony. Still needs ttop shades and door panels to be complete.
Custom 3 inch exhaust. Flowmaster merge with Borla XR1 muffler and LM2 rear section. Basically a borlamouth. Sounds good, but does rattle some intermittently.
The car has a Superhawk hood. I was in a minor accident a few years and the firehawk hood was damaged, so i had roger at US exotics build me this Superhawk hood custom made WITHOUT the heat extractor vents. I learned later on that he started offering the hood this way after building mine.
Now for everything the car needs:
The car was tuned by myself using hptuners. It runs pretty good, but still needs some fine tuning. Its very drivable and i wouldnt hesitate driving it anywhere.
The paint is chipping on the front and rear bumper, faded on the passenger fender and is generally just showing its age.
The wheels are peeling but is very typical for firehawk wheels.
The rear end whines around 55-65 mph. Its not very noticable but there.
Needs ebony door panels.
Tires are near the end of life.
Exhaust rattle intermittenly.
Dash pad is cracked.
Passenger window motor is extremely weak.
