1979 Camaro with LS1/4L60E
#49
I had a call from a gentlemen in NJ yesterday interested in the car and he was thinking Magnacharger and hood clearance.
I pulled out my trusty tape measure and from the top of the fender line to the top of the intake is about 3.5 inches per my mark 1 eye ball. It's not calibrated to the .010 but close.
Oh and the price is reduced to $19,500.
Just a quick note, keep in your thoughts all the service people not at home this Thanksgiving. Shake the hand of anyone in uniform and say thanks.

79 Camaro LS1
I bought a L92 out of a 2009 Denali. 1400 miles. It has been sitting next to the Camaro the last few weeks. This weekend I started a cam swap into the L92. New springs, deleted the VVT with a cam from Texas Speed. New springs are in the L92. About 550 flywheel hp according to Texas Speed.
The Camaro was just sitting there and if you listened close you could hear it whispering to the L92. "Put me in" Please!
Don't make me do it.
Thanks for all the kind words.
Have a good 2010

I can only imagine the amount of hours you have in that Camaro. (I have the magazine article)
YOUR WORK IS COMMENDABLE but your vehicle choice may need a little more thought!!!
Not jacking you but PICK A better car!!!
Ps. If you spend as few bucks on some 1980-81 STOCK ground effects, hood scoop and wheels and paint them up to match I bet you will get a TON of interest in your car AND sell it!

The snow melted a bit today. I looked into the shed where I store the Camaro. It sat there with the cover on and didn't say anything. If it it had a middle finger I think it would have been displayed. My LS6 Wrangler with the snow plow has been out all winter pushing snow.
Still for sale. Ready for the Power Tour. See you in Iowa.
$19,000
