Private track event at Grange Motor circuit
A few of my buddies and I will be hosting a private track event at Grange Motor Circuit in Apple Valley right near Victorville. We have the track from 8am to 5pm July 23. It's not very fast road coarse though on the straits you can hit 70-80mph but it is a nice step up from AutoX. I likely won't have my bird but I'll be showing up to help hosting and driver help as well. Any car is welcome to race, and its all for fun so don't worry if you're slow. It's a $75 entry fee and that includes food and drinks.
Another Event scheduled for September 17th!!!
If you have any questions feel free to post here or PM me.
RSVP here or PM me.

ha, I hear you. I'm toward the end of my 4l80e swap so its not ready yet . I'm trying to get more American cars to go... So far its only been me with my trans am and should I even mention the HHR that showed up once? lol Anyways there will be another one, hopefully pretty soon.

Saturday is only 4 days away! This is not for profit and all fees go towards food drinks and track rental. If you want to learn to race or want seat time this is perfect! We can have up to 10 cars on the track at once, unlike autoX where you have to wait for your turn and are lucky to get 9-12 runs in. Here you can hop on and off the track whenever you would like. Beginners to advanced drivers are all welcome!

That's pretty awesome of you guys to organize this. I wish I didn't have family stuff going on that weekend. I've really wanted to get my Infiniti out on a road course, I feel it would do better than my Goat on a tight track like that.
Please do more later in the year.

It is pretty a pretty tight coarse, both would do well. It all depends on how you drive it really. I was the fastest when I went out there last with my 3500lb bird. I'll post up again once our next event is scheduled. Trying not to get it too big as we really don't want more than 20 cars.

So hopefully this will be enough of a notification to you guys, so we're planning another event next month (September). Dates are still pending and I'll update as soon as we have a solid date. I'd like to get a head count of everyone interested. Here are some picts of the last event. Right now likely 2 possible dates September 4th or September 17th

I am down for a September track day! Keep in mind that the Hotchkis event at Auto Club Speedway is Sep 16-18. I will most likely be attending to that so my choice would be the 4th.
If it is the 4th, I will be there in the Bug for sure! If it is the 17th, we will see.

Awesome! I will sign up then. I only got in like 16 laps at the last auto-x event so that kinda sucked. A day of open track time for the same price, yep I am in.
You bringing the bird this time?

We both got some work to do then! I still need to add in my gas filler cap and neck (not looking forward to cutting a hole in the side of the car), make a real intake tube that goes to cold air, swap out front springs, alignment, modify battery box, heat shield for header and other nonsense. Lets hope the weather stays nice so I can continue to work!
