Ok well im kind of getting tired of this winter weather here in chicago along with the crazy housing prices we have. The company I work for has a office in Las Vegas that im considering transferring to. Im not sure how long I plan on staying with this company so I was wondering hows the job market in Vegas besides something to do with gambling?

Also hows the housing market?

Any transplants to Vegas that can share how it went?

Crazy housing prices...Vegas ranks #1 when it comes to percent increase in housing prices.

Sorry I can't help you with the job market. Last time I checked (a yr. ago), if you weren't in Healthcare, your job was tied to gaming.

There's a ton of work here. It just depends on what you do. As far as houses go. I think we're going to be as bad as Cali soon. You pretty much cant touch a tiny 3 bedroom with no yard and a 1 car garage for less than $250k. Most condos are selling for almost just as much and apartments, for a descent area are $800-1k+ a month for a 2 bedroom. The last couple of years real estate has just become unbelievable. I paid $160k for my house 5 years ago and now it appraises at around $425k.
