some customer of mine was telling me he's a "great" LS1 tuner.....i nevr heard of him either till yesterday...i thought he was counfusing him with adam @ ST motorsports who actually does some LS tuning....

Are you sure hes talking about a johnny lightning from cali?
And not the ford lightning guru from Pennsylvania http://www.johnnylightningperf.com/index.php, if so I have talked to the guys there a couple times when helping out a couple buddys out with there L's, good service.
