1998 T/A A4 W/ 89k miles Im looking at picking up a DD fbody tomorrow, its a 1998 T/A A4 with just under 90k miles, tires are fairly new tires. The lady thats selling it is the third owner, and it sounds like all shes ever done is tires/brakes. The A/C compressor is out, and the dash is cracked, but both of those can be fixed reasonably cheaply. I'm sure it is probably time for a full tune up, but it isnt throwing any codes other than a security light (I'm guessing VATS needs to be !) She had it priced at 6500 and I talked her down to 5000, I may even can get it for a little less when I meet with her tomorrow. Any thoughts ? It is fairly loaded with black leather, t-tops, Moonson , etc. Thanks for any opinions

I would agree that $5000 is about right and maybe even high with the work it needs. Make sure there is nothing else seriously wrong. You don't need to buy a 'money pit'.
