Wanting to buy a Z28 and was wondering what this car is worth?
1996 Red Z28
78,8xx miles
Black leather
Automatic
T-tops
Bose
3" cowl hood
Billet grille
Panasonic head unit
2 10" Rockford subs with punch amp
Tinted windows
Chrome factory 16's
Needs a window motor, rear hatch struts, window switch cover, and possibly the heater might out. Car has never had any paint work and is in really good condition. What should I be able to buy the car for?
Thanks!

Hard to judge from the description and I'm sure there are even more issues with the car than you know if there are so many already. Makes you wonder about all the fluid changes
The mileage sure is decent for a 15 year old car unless it was beaten. It also depends what you are capable of doing yourself vs taking it to a shop, or if you even care that these issues exist. Maybe $5,000 is OK if you aren't talking about putting a few grand into it.. You will never get it back when it comes time to sell. Just keep that in mind.

OK, knowing the car and owner is very important and that can change the entire picture. I'm still curious why he let so much go bad with the car unless he is hard up financially or just got tired of the car. I think your offer is very reasonable for this 15 year old used car that needs repairs. I would not go higher than $4,500 as it will probably need $1,000+ to get it right. After all is done and spent (repairs, taxes, title,etc..), I would be OK with owning a non-abused 'good' condition, decent mileage LT1 car for $5.500 total. It will have years of miles left for driving enjoyment and if you needed to sell for some reason you wouldn't get killed on the re-sale price. Good luck with your negotiations. Let us know.

I added more because your getting the cowl hood. I hope it is already painted and on vehicle. I think under 4 is too low. I'm trying to get a 97 with 55,000 miles for 5 thousand. The car has no extras except the blue paint I like. But I won't give more than 5. The owner won't take 5 so I will get a ls1.
