Seen a nice looking ws6 on craigslist. Wondering what its really worth.

Looks stock. Mentioned aftermarket exhaust/slotted rotors and hawk pads.

Apparently garage maintained/well-maintained...no accidents, title in hand... the usual stuff.

Overall, car looks nice in the ad but the guy wants 16k... i can't do 16 and was wondering what a fair offer is.

That is some low mileage. If I were him, I wouldn't go lower than $14k. If I were you, I would go there with $14k, offer him $12k and work up from there.

The mileage is nice and low but you sure left out some major details which affect the price. Clean title? Clear Carfax (spend $30 and verify this!)? One-owner? Need tires (which can be $600+) or anything else? $16,000 is top $$ if everything checks out and the seller is the original owner. A 2 owner or more car that is in 'good condition', not perfect, should sell closer to $14,000 for a 'private party' sale. You can verify this figure at www.kbb.com and bring it to the attention of the owner if necessary. You have a very important factor working in your behalf right now, and that is the current financial market. Cash is king!! You peel off $13,000 in person and see if the seller takes it. It would not be an insulting offer unless the car was a perfect one-owner example. You will need to describe the car further to us to get more specific.

im probably actually going to pass on the car. looking to sell both my cars to pick up a new dd. I've grown bored of my spec v and would like to sell both to pick up an 09 cobalt ss ive had my eye on.

but if anyone wants this ws6 is under south jersey craigslist...
